Agnès b. Café

Today I went to the Taipei 101 to go book hunting to see what books they have here in Taipei that I would like to purchase. I first went to Eslite which is the main bookstore branch in Taipei to see which books they had before heading to Taipei 101's Page One. I ended up going to Agnès b. Café. I had seen a few of these cafes here and there around Taipei but never really tired it.
I thought today would be as good as any day to try it out. I thought that it was really interesting that a clothing line had their own cafe. As I looked at their choices and prices I realized that this was more expensive than Starbucks. I figured since it was a expensive clothing store that of course if they are going to sell food the prices would be much higher than regular coffee shops.
I ended up getting a Latte and Cheesecake. The price for the coffee was 125nt or $4.40 usd which I guess is the average price of a coffee at Starbucks but the price for food was really expensive. A cheesecake was 130nt or $5 usd. I thought that was way over priced for the size of the cheesecake. It was a pretty good cheesecake but I would have paid that much for two of them.

Yoppi: Froyo Time~!

Today I went to have a reading hangout with my friend. We ended up going to get some frozen yogurt close by because it was just too damn hot outside (around 35C plus 85% humidity). I love this froyo place! I think it is so adorable! All the cute colours and also all the different flavours! Sorry I don't have a photo of the choices I totally forgot to take one! Next time! This Yoppi store is in the TianMu area near Taipei American School (my old school). The prices are determined by the weight of your cup. I don't remember the conversion but my yogurt was 148nt or around $5usd. I ended up getting Chocolate and Peanut-butter flavor yogurt! It was just right for this kind of weather here in Taipei!

Here is me with my froyo! Yummy!

Sababa Pita Bar

Today I went to Sababa Pita Bar with my friend! I love this place, I have been going here since middle school. Sababa is a Middle Eastern restaurant, the one I went to is by Gongguan MRT Stop in Taipei. Here is their website for more information: http://www.sababapita.com/franchise.php I think the prices are not too bad they are around 150nt or $5usd for one pita sandwich. The prices are a bit pricey at times but I love the food and I think it is worth it. This place to me is also a place for a treat or sometimes special occasions, not something you can go everyday. The food is also quite healthy in the fact that it is not very oily and everything is very natural! You don't feel really stuffed after eating. The feel and the vibe of the place is great! It has a very well of course Middle Eastern feel, very boho and gypsy like. The place is also quite dark, so sorry about the lighting in the photos.

Here is me eating my lovely lamb shawarma which is shaved lamb with hummus, tomatoes, lettuce and mint yogurt

We also went to the book store today to see if there was anything we wanted to get! I got two book that I have been dying to get my hands on which are two books from Cassandra Clare. I got "Clockwork Angel" from "The Infernal Devices" Trilogy and also "City Of Bones" from "The Mortal Instruments" series. I am so excited to read these! Especially "City Of Bones" mostly because the movie is coming the end of this August! I can't wait to see the movie! It has one of my favourite actresses as the main protagonist aka, Lily Collins. I love her! I think she is so beautiful and she reminds me of a modern day Audrey Hepburn. Hopefully I will be able to add these to my to reads list for the summer and still get to all the other books I wanted to read! I have till mid September to read all before school starts so hopefully I'll have plenty of time! I am just so excited!

Mr. Papa Waffle and Cafe

Yesterday I went to Mr.Papa Waffle and Cafe with my friend. I absolutely love this place! I found it near my university. Close to Guting MRT stop in Taipei City and I just love the environment and surroundings. I just think this place is totally adorable!
They have a wide range of different types of waffles and drinks and the highest price on the menu was 120nt or $4usd which are amazing prices when you think about it! It also has a down fee of 50nt or $1.60 usd to just sit there which is basically just a coffee.
I really love this place! It smells really nice and they have wonderful snacks and it is a great place to study and do homework. It is also quite small so it doesn't get loud inside so it is rare to have noise disturbances when you are studying or just chilling with friends.
Here is me with my Vanilla Banana Ice Cream Waffle
It was really yummy! I really liked how they also added some chocolate syrup on top to add even more flavors in your mouth
That is the logo that you see on the street when walking over
